Islamic Learning Center: The Virtues of Friday According to Islam ~ Hi all readers! As we know that in one week is seven days. Among the seven days is one day that holds many important events, such as the creation of the Prophet Adam, the Day of Judgment, and so forth. For this reason, that day has many features that other days do not have. The day I mean is Friday. As Muslims we must know that. That’s why I wrote this article. If you want to know that, then you should read this article to the end!

As usual, before I explain the virtues of Friday according to Islam, I will quote some of the hadiths that are specifically related to our discussion. Some of the hadiths I mean are as follows;

From Abu Hurairah, he said, “The messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “The best day when the sun rises on that day is Friday. On that day Adam was created. On that day he entered Heaven. On that day he came out of there (out of Heaven). And, Doomsday will not happen except on Friday.” The hadith is narrated by Muslim.

From Abu Hurairah, he said, “Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Verily on Friday there is a time when a Muslim stands up to pray and ask for goodness from Allah, unless Allah must give it to him.” The hadith is narrated by Muslim.

Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “[We] are the last people and the first people on the Day of Judgment. We are the first people to enter Heaven. They were given the Book before us, and we were given it after them. The day that you spread them, and Allah has explained to us, is Friday.”

All Readers! There are several important things about the three hadiths above that we must understand;

First; the first hadith explains that there were many major events that took place on Friday; the creation of the Prophet Adam on Friday, the Prophet Adam entered Heaven on Friday, the Prophet Adam came out of Heaven on Friday, and the Day of Judgment occurred on Friday.

Second; Friday is the best day to pray and pray to Allah. In other words, praying to Allah for goodness on that day will definitely be granted.

Third; the third hadith explains, bring the people before the Prophet Muhammad’s people to disagree about Friday and Allah has explained the status of the day and its virtues to us, the people of the Prophet Muhammad.

Fourth; the three hadiths explain the benefits we get as a people of the Prophet Muhammad, if we follow him.

All Readers! That is a brief explanation of the virtue of Friday according to Islam. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
