Hi all readers! Do you want to know what Istighfar is? Do you want to know about the Quran which explains Istighfar? Do you want to know about the Hadith that describes Istighfar? Do you want to know the miracles of Istighfar? If your answer is “Yes”, then congratulations! Now you are reading the right article. In this article, I will explain it all. So, keep reading!
What Is Istighfar?
One of the important things we should know about Istighfar is its meaning. In general, Istighfar is certain sentences uttered with the aim of asking Allah for forgiveness. That is one of the dhikrs and prayers that all Muslims must say. I say this is because we can wash away our sins by reading Istighfar.
Actually, there are lots of examples of Istighfar sentences. One of them, the shortest and most common is (I ask for forgiveness from Allah Most Great).
Quran About The Miracles of Istighfar
There are actually many verses of the Quran that describe the miracles of Istighfar. Of course, I will not explain everything here. In this article I will only describe two. The two Quranic verses I mean are as follows;
So be patient, because verily God’s promise is true, and ask forgiveness for your sins and recite the Tasbih while praising your Lord in the evening and morning. (Al-Mumin: 55).
So, know, that in fact there is no god but Allah, and ask forgiveness for your sins and for men who believe and women who believe. And Allah knows where you work and where you live. (Muhammad: 19).
Hadith About The Miracles of Istighfar
Like the Quranic verses that explain Istighfar, the Hadiths that explain Istighar are also numerous. I will not go into detail here either. In this article I will only describe two. The two hadiths that I mean are as follows;
From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, he said, “I have heard the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam say, “By Allah, I actually ask Allah for forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times in one day.”
From Abdullah bin Busr radliyallahu anhu, he said, “I have heard the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam say,” Fortunately someone who finds a lot of Istighfar in his sheets.
Some Examples of The Miracles of Istighfar
Before I explain some examples of Miracles of Istighfar, I want to explain that what is meant by Istighfar Miracle is the strengths of Istighfar as a prayer and dhikr that can save someone from danger and trouble with Allah’s permission. That is what I mean by the miracle of Istighfar.
Talking about Istighfar’s Miracle, actually we can find many examples of that. Of course, I will not explain all of that in this article. In this article I will describe only two of my examples. The two examples I mean are as follows;
Sufyan said, “I once met Muhammad bin Jakfar. He then said, “If you often feel troubled, then often read لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ (there is no power and strength except that of Allah. If you feel lack of sustenance, then often read Istighfar. If you get a lot) once enjoyment, then often praise Allah.”
Ibn Shabih said, “There was someone who had complained to Hasan al-Jadubah about a problem. Hasan then said to him, “Ask Allah for forgiveness (reading Istighfar).” There are others who have complained to Hasan about poverty. Hasan then said to him, “Ask Allah for forgiveness (reading Istighfar).” Then someone else had complained to Hasan about his dry fields. Hassan then said to him, “Ask Allah for forgiveness (reciting Istighfar).” We then told Hasan about it (why all the solutions are Istighfar?). He then said, “What I have said has a basis. Indeed, Allah the Almighty has said in Surah Noah, “Then I said,” You ask for forgiveness from your Lord, verily He is the Most Forgiving God. Surely, He will send very heavy rain to you and (He will). multiply wealth and children for you and make gardens for you and rivers for you . (Noah: 10-12).”
