Interesting Story About Death; in China and Sun

Islamic Peace Center: Hi all readers! In the previous article I explained about the secret place of death. We also already know, that no one knows about where he will die. In this article I will explain a unique story about interesting story about death.

Death in China

Abdurrahim bin Ahmad al-Qadli narrated, that one day, in the first days, the angel of death came to Prophet Solomon. Angel of death then saw a young man who was on the side of Prophet Solomon. The young man then trembled. When the angel of death left, the young man said to Prophet Solomon, “O Prophet of Allah, really, I want you to order the wind to take me to China.” Prophet Solomon obeyed the young man’s request and ordered the wind to take him to China. The wind then brought him to China.

Then the angel of death came again to Prophet Solomon. Prophet Solomon asked him about the reason why he saw the young man. He then said, “In fact I have been ordered to revoke his spirit that day in China. I see he is by your side. I was surprised by that. “Then Prophet Solomon told him that the young man requested that the wind bring him to China. He then said, “That day I revoked his spirit in China.”

Understanding the Secret Place of Death

Death in Sun

Abdurrahim bin Ahmad al-Qadli also told in his book, that angel of death has several servants to revoke the spirit. In a story told, that there is someone who always prayed;

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَ لِمَلَكِ الْشَمْسِ

O Allah, forgive me and angel of sun.

Angel of sun then asked Allah for permission to meet the person. When he met the person, he said, “You often pray for me. What do you want? “The person said,” I need you to take me to your place. I want you to ask the grim reaper that he let me know when my doom is near.”

Then angel of sun takes the person. He put the person in his seat made of sun. Then he went to the Angel of Death and told him that there was a human who always said the prayer and asked that the Angel of Death let him know when his death was near so that he could get ready to die.

Angel of death then looked at his book and said, “Impossible! Impossible!” Truly your friend has a very big condition. Surely, he will not die until he sits in your place made of the sun. “Angel of sun then said,” Indeed he has sat in my place made of it.” Angel of death said, “He died at the side of our messengers.”

In a hadith explained, “The end of all livestock depends on the dhikr of Allah. If they don’t recite dhikr, then Allah will revoke their spirit. Angel of death doesn’t have any business in that matter.”

It is said, that indeed Allah is the one who uproots all souls. “To revoke spirit” is attributed to the angel of death just as murder is attributed to murder, and death is attributed to disease. That is what is explained in the Quran;

ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلۡأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوۡتِهَا وَٱلَّتِي لَمۡ تَمُتۡ فِي مَنَامِهَاۖ فَيُمۡسِكُ ٱلَّتِي قَضَىٰ عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَيُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٤٢

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep; then He withholds those on whom He has passed the decree of death and sends the others back till an appointed term; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect. (Az-Zumar [39]; 42).

All Readers! Although I myself do not know the validity of the story, but the story does indeed exist in Islamic literature. The story confirms one thing, that wherever, even if someone can live on the sun, moon, or other planets, but in the end he will die. angel of death will revoke his soul according to Allah’s command.

Death is a certainty that all beings must experience. There was not a single thing that could prevent his arrival. Instead of blocking its arrival, there wasn’t even a single thing that could delay its arrival.
