In Daqa'iqu al-Akhbar fi Dzikri al-Jannati wa an-Nar is explained:

There are many rivers in Heaven; the ar-Rahmah river, the al-Kautsar river, the al-Kafur river, the as-Salsabil river, and the ar-Rahiq al-Makhtum river.

The ar-Rahmah River flows in all of Heaven. The pebbles are pearls. The color is whiter than snow and sweeter than honey. While the al-Kautsar river is the river of the prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alahi wa sallam. The trees in the river are pearls and rubies. And there are many other rivers besides these rivers.

The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "On the night when I was taken to heaven (isra' and mi'raj), all of Heaven was shown to me. In all of Heaven I saw four rivers of water that had no change in taste and smell, rivers of milk that did not change their taste, rivers of khamar and rivers of filtered honey, as Allah Taala explained in the Quran;

A parable of the garden which those guarding (against evil) are promised: Therein are rivers of water that does not alter, and rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change, and rivers of drink delicious to those who drink, and rivers of honey clarified and for them therein are all fruits and protection from their Lord. (Are these) like those who abide in the fire and who are made to drink boiling water so it rends their bowels asunder. (Muhammad [47]; 15).

The Prophet Muhammad then said to Gabriel, "Where do these rivers flow from and where do they flow?" Gabriel ‘overed as-Salam replied, "They flow into the lake of al-Kautsar, but we do not know where they flow. Pray to Allah the Exalted so He will tell you or show you."

The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam then prayed to Allah. Then an angel came. The angel then greeted him and said, "O Muhammad, close your two eyes." The Prophet Muhammad then closed his two eyes. The angel then said, "Open your eyes." He then opened his eyes.

The Prophet Muhammad then opened his eyes. Suddenly he was at the side of a tree. He saw a dome made of white pearls. The dome has a door made of green yaqtut. The key is made of red gold. If all humans and jinn sat on the dome, then surely, they were like a bird sitting on a mountain.

The Prophet Muhammad saw the four rivers flowing under the dome. When he wanted to return, the angel who brought him said, "Why didn't you enter the Dome?" He replied, "How can I enter it while the door is locked?" The angel said, "Open the door." "The angel said," The key is in your hands. "He said," It turns out that the key is the sentence بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful).

When the Prophet Muhammad approached the door, he then said, بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful). The key then opens. He then entered into the dome. He saw the four rivers flowing from the four dome foundations. When he wanted to come out, the angel who brought him said, "Have you seen it?" He replied, "Yes." The angel then said, "Look for the second time."

The Prophet Muhammad then looked again. He then saw a sentence بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (in the name of Allah the Most Merciful and the Merciful [In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful]) written on the four foundations of the dome. He saw the river of water coming out of the letter Mim in the sentence بِسۡمِ, the river of milk coming out of the letter Ha 'in the sentence ٱللَّهِ, the river khamr came out of the letter Mim in the sentence ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ, the river of milk came out of the letter Mim in the sentence ٱلرَّحِيمِ. He knew that the source of the four rivers was the sentence بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ (In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful).

Allah then said, "O Muhammad! Whoever of your people remembers me with these names with a sincere heart, I will give him drink from these four rivers."
