Religion of Tolerance: Resurrection of All Beings from Grave ~ Hi all readers! In this article I explain about the resurrection of all dead beings. As a Muslim we really need to know this because it deals with the basics of true faith. The quality of a Muslim depends on the quality of their faith on this day of resurrection.
In Islamic teachings explained, that what is meant by this resurrection is, Allah Ta’ala revives all beings who have died and removed them from their graves. The essence of the faith about this resurrection is to believe that Allah Ta’ala, by His power, will gather all the creatures that are in separate tombs like before they died, then He will return their souls and lead them to Mahsyar to undergo trial.
The resurrection of all dead beings is one of the great certainties of Allah Ta’ala for all His creatures that cannot be scientifically proven by any science. But that is a big certainty that is sure to happen. All Muslims must believe it. That is because there are many verses of the Qur’an and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad who spoke about it. Among them we can see as below;
And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten? Say: He will give life to them Who brought them into existence at first, and He is cognizant of all creation . (Yaa Siiin ; 78-79).
Then We raised you up after your death that you may give thanks. (Al-Baqarah ; 56).
And He it is Who originates the creation, then reproduces it, and it is easy to Him; and His are the most exalted attributes in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (Ar-Ruum ; 27).
The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors. (Maryam ; 85).
(As for) those who shall be gathered upon their faces to hell, they are in a worse plight and straying farther away from the path. (Al-Furqaan ; 34).
And whomsoever Allah guides, he is the follower of the right way, and whomsoever He causes to err, you shall not find for him guardians besides Him; and We will gather them together on the day of resurrection on their faces, blind and dumb and deaf; their abode is hell; whenever it becomes allayed, We will add to their burning. (Al-Israa’ ; 97).
Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said;
Do not overestimate a prophet from other prophets of Allah. Indeed, when the trumpet is blown then at that time all beings in the sky will die and all beings that are on earth will die except the creatures that Allah wants. Then the trumpet will be again and I am the one who will be resurrected or including the first resurrected creature but it turns out Moses has arrived at the Throne (‘Arsy).
From Aisha radliyallaahu ‘anhaa, he said, “I have heard the Messenger of Allaah ‘alaihi wa sallam say, “All humans on the Day of Judgment will be led to the condition of not wearing footwear, naked, and not circumcised.” I then asked, “O Messenger of Allah! All women and men, they see each other?” He then replied, “O Aisha, the matter is more difficult than some of them see some others.””
Actually, there are still many verses of the Qur’an and hadith which explain the resurrection of all dead beings. But I think some of the verses of Qu’ran and the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad that I have presented above are enough to be used as material for analysis. If we look at what I have said above, then at least we can conclude a number of things as follows:
First; in the surah Yaasiin verses 78-79 and the surah Ar Ruum verse 27 there is a description of the logical logic of the ability of Allah Ta’ala to bring to life all beings who have died. He was able to create all living things from those who did not exist, so raising them from the dead was a very easy matter for Him.
Second; in the surah Al Baqarah verse 56 and the hadith narrated by al-Bukhari, 3414, and Muslim, 2373, including some evidence of the many verses of the Qur’an and hadith which discuss the rise of all beings after they died.
Third; there is a story in the hadith narrated by al-Bukhari, 6527, and Muslim, 2859, concerning the description of the condition of the resurrection of dead humans and the severe conditions they will experience in Mahsyar.
Fourth; in surah Maryam verse 85 there is a statement that those who fear Allah will be led to Mahsyar with honorable conditions.
Fifth; in the surah Al-Furqaan verse 34 there is a statement about those who are not fearful of Allah. They will be herded into mahsyar with contemptible conditions; they will be scattered above their faces.
Sixth; in the letter Al Israa’ verse 97 there is information about one thing that is certain, that everything that happened at that time was due to Allah. Nobody has power but Him. He will include people who do not want to be cautious while still living in the world into Hell. no one can help them. The all goes by Allah’s will.
That is a brief description of resurrection of all beings from grave. After they are raised from their graves, they will be led to Mahsyar. They will all be placed in one place to receive a trial from Allah. That must have happened. We all have to believe it and prepare ourselves to welcome that great certainty.
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful!
