The Meaning Surah An-Nasr ~ Hi all readers! Do you know what surah an-Nasr is? That is one of the surahs in the Quran. In general, the surah explained the promise of Allah to the Prophet Muhammad, that one day, Allah will help him to conquer Mecca. Do you remember, that he was once driven out of the city of Mecca by people who did not know him? This surah is related to that. Of course, as Muslims, we must know that. That’s why I wrote this article to explain the meaning of the surah (surah an-Nasr). So, you have to read it to the end!
Before I explain the meaning of surah an-Nasr, I want to say that surah is the last surah madaniyah handed down to the Prophet Muhammad. In the surah there are three verses, twenty sentences, and seventy-nine letters.
The surah an-Nasr I mean is as follows;
إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ ١ وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجٗا ٢ فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا ٣
When the victory of Allah has come and the question  And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes  Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of Repentance . (An-Nasr ; 1-3).
The Meaning of Surah An-Nasr
(إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ) The point is, that Allah has perfected the affairs and pleasures when Allah has helped the Prophet Muhammad to face his enemies.
(وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ) The intention is the conquest of the city of Mecca. It happened on the tenth of Ramadan in the eighth year of Hijria. At that time, the Prophet Muhammad left with ten thousand people from the Muhajirin, Ansar, and Arab tribes.
(وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجٗا) The meaning is, that according to the promise of Allah, the Prophet Muhammad saw many Arabs who flocked to Islam, like the people of Makkah, the people of Yemen, the people of Thaif, the people of Hawazan, and people from other Arab tribes.
(فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ) The point is, say the phrase “Subhanallah” to praise your Lord.
(وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ) The point is, ask forgiveness from Allah for yourself, for lacking in your deeds, and to uphold Allah’s rights.
(إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا) The point is, that Allah is God who is Forgiving.
