Islam Punish Criminals with Extremely Punishment

Hi everyone readers! In this article I will invite all readers to recognize the sanctions that will be given to the perpetrators of Islam. We all certainly have no doubt that evil is a form of action that is forbidden by all religions. All religions must strongly condemn this type of action, including Islam.
 
Of course, we all also know that this crime is diverse. Call it for example killing, stealing, abortion, lying, humiliation, and so forth. In the view of the teachings of Islam various actions are punished in accordance with their respective capacities. So, there is no similar standard for different types of crime. But this time, in this article, I will invite my readers to get to know the punishment for the murderer. As for punishment for other types of crime I will explain in the next article, Allah willing.
 
To know more clearly about the punishment of the perpetrators of murder in the teachings of Islam, I will quote one of the Prophet Muhammad’s hadith narrated by Muslim;
 
قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم : لا تقتل نفس ظلما الا كان علي ابن أدم الاول من دمها لأنه أول من سن القتل
 
The Messenger of Allah said, “No soul is killed by dhalim (arbitrary) unless the first son of Adam shares his sin, because he is the man who first committed the murder.” (The hadith is narrated by Muslim, 4355).

Readers, if we really understand the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad above, then we will know how hard the punishment given to Islam for the perpetrators of murder. From the above hadith we can also understand that the person who first committed the murder will also bear the sin of murder committed by the people afterwards. The story of the murder committed by this first son of Adam (he was named Qabil) is included in Qur’an;
 
۞وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ ٱبۡنَيۡ ءَادَمَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ إِذۡ قَرَّبَا قُرۡبَانٗا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنۡ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمۡ يُتَقَبَّلۡ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقۡتُلَنَّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ ٢٧  لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقۡتُلَنِي مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٖ يَدِيَ إِلَيۡكَ لِأَقۡتُلَكَۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٢٨  إِنِّيٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثۡمِي وَإِثۡمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٢٩  فَطَوَّعَتۡ لَهُۥ نَفۡسُهُۥ قَتۡلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ ٣٠  فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابٗا يَبۡحَثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيۡفَ يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيهِۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِثۡلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِيَ سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيۖ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ ٣١  
 
And relate to them the story of the two sons of Adam with truth when they both offered an offering, but it was accepted from one of them and was not accepted from the other. He said: I I will most certainly slay you. (The other) said: Allah only accepts from those who guard (against evil) [27] If you will stretch forth your hand towards me to slay me, I am not one to stretch forth my hand towards you to slay you surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds [28] Surely, I wish that you should bear the sin committed against me and your own sin, and so you would be of the inmates of the fire, and this is the recompense of the unjust [29] Then his mind facilitated to him the slaying of his brother so he slew him; then he became one of the losers [30] Then Allah sent a crow digging up the earth so that he might show him how he should cover the dead body of his brother. He said: Woe me! do I lack the strength that I should be like this crow and cover the dead body of my brother? So, he became of those who regret [31]. (Al-Maa’idah [05]; 27-31).
 
In the above verses it is explained that the first son of Adam (Qabil) killed his brother because the sacrifice he offered (Qabil) was not accepted, while his brother’s sacrifice (Habil) was accepted. It may be that the murder was done because of envy, envy, or even the anger of the first son of Adam (unrestricted anger in the teachings of Islam.) This type of murder includes murder that is not justified in the teachings of Islam.

A murderer by the way of dhalim, besides having to bear the sin of the perpetrator of murder by means of dhalim done by the people afterwards, according to the teachings of Islam, he also must bear other consequences in the hereafter. In another hadith the prophet Muhammad also said;
 
قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم : أول ما يقضي بين الناس يوم القيامة في الدماء
 
The Messenger of Allah said, “The first affair which will be heard among all men on the Day of Judgment is concerned with the blood.” (The hadith is narrated by Muslim, 4357).
 
With this second hadieth, it becomes clear that the severity of punishment for a murderer who committed murder by means of dhalim (arbitrary). I think everyone is aware of it.
 
There are interesting questions that we must answer next. The question is; If the above penalty applies to all people in general, whose murder victim is also the people in general, then how if the murdered person is a Muslim?
 
The answer to the question above is very easy. If the murder of the victims is everyone, who could be a follower of a religion other than Islam, the punishment given by Islam is very heavy, especially if the murder victim is a Muslim. I think the reason is very reasonable. If only one Muslim had been killed, there would have been one less Muslim in the world. Also, less one worshiper of Allah Almighty.
 
Religion Islam ensures the safety of the soul of every adherent. That is clearly seen in the hadith of prophet Muhammad;
 
قال رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم : لا يحل دم امرئ مسلم يشهد أن لا اله الا الله وأني رسول الله الا بأحدي الثلاث : الثيب الزاني , والنفس بالنفس , والتارك لدينه التارك للجماعة
 
The Messenger of Allah said, “It is not lawful for the blood of a Muslim who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am a messenger of Allah except with three causes; widow (a married man) who commit adultery, killing others intentionally, leaving his religion and fighting against the congregation. ” (The hadith is narrated by Muslim, 4351).
 
That is the big picture of punishment for the perpetrators of crimes in the teachings of Islam. The practical step of punishment is to be avenged for killing, except for the families of murder victims, and even then, still have to pay a fine as much as has been determined. The discussion about that will I explain in the next article, if my condition allows, Allah willing.
