Hi all readers! In the previous article I have explained the most severe things in Sakaratul Maut. In this article I will explain an interesting story about Sakaratul Maut. There are many benefits that we will get if we are able to understand it very well.
Okay! Straight to!
It is said that when Abu Zakariyah az-Zahid was in Sakaratul Maut, his friend came and dictated him so that he said the sentence ath-Thayyibah (لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله). But he turned away from him. His friend then dictated him a second time. He turned away from him again. His friend then dictated again to say that. He then said to his friend, “I will not say that.” He then fainted.
Abu Zakariyah az-Zahid fainted for a few moments. After he regained consciousness and opened his eyes, he then said to the people around him, “Are you saying something to me?” They answered, “Yes. You dictated that you recite the syahadah sentence three times. You refuse twice. The third time you say, “I won’t say that.”
Abu Zakariyah az-Zahid then said, “The devil has come to me with a container filled with water. He was on my right side and was moving the container. He then said to me, “Do you want water?” I then replied, “Sure.” He said, “Say; Jesus is the son of God!” Then Iturned away from him. Then he came to me from my side. He said that to me again. The third time he said, “Say; There is no God!” I then said, “I will not say that. “He then threw the container on the ground and ran away.” I refuted the words of the devil, not your words. I then testify that there is no god but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger.”
Mansur bin ‘Ammar said, “If the death of a servant is near, then the condition is divided into five parts; his wealth for his heirs, his spirit for Angel of Death, his flesh for the caterpillar, his bones for the land, his goodness for his enemies, and the devil to take away his faith.”
Manshur bin ‘Ammar said again, “If the heirs leave with property, then that is no problem. If the angel of death leaves with a spirit, then that doesn’t matter. If a caterpillar leaves with meat, then that’s fine. If his enemies leave with his virtues, then that doesn’t matter. But hopefully Satan will not go away with his faith when he dies, because it means separating from religion. In fact, the separation of the spirit from the body is not a separation from God. Truly it is a farewell that no one knows what happened after and the loss.”
All Readers! That’s the interesting story about Sakaratul Maut. Hopefully we can benefit from the story. Amen!
I think that’s enough for this article. May be useful!
