From Abu Hurairah, he said, "Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, 'Verily, on Friday, there is a time when a Muslim stands up to pray and asks for goodness from Allah, and Allah must give it to him.'" This Hadith is narrated by Muslim.

Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "[We] are the last people and the first people on the Day of Judgment. We are the first to enter Paradise. They were given the Book before us, and we were given it after them. The day that they disputed, and God has guided us to it, is Friday."

Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "Among your best days is Friday. On that day, Adam was created; on that day, Adam died; on that day, the first trumpet blast was sounded; and on that day, the second was also blown."

From Abu Hurairah, he said, "The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, 'The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On that day, Adam was created. On that day, he entered Paradise. On that day, he came out of Paradise. And the Hour will not occur except on Friday.'" This Hadith is narrated by Muslim.

  2. Many significant events occurred on Friday: the creation of Prophet Adam, his entrance to Paradise, his exit from Paradise, and the Day of Judgment.

The Hadith regarding Friday Mubarak dua is as follows:

From Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whoever on Friday morning, before the Fajr prayer, says, 'I ask forgiveness from Allah, who has no god but He, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all things subsist, and I repent to Him,' up to three times, then Allah will forgive all his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea."

If we understand the above Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, we can conclude that dua for Friday Mubarak is as follows:

"I ask forgiveness from Allah, who has no god but He, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all things subsist, and I repent to Him."

If we understand all the points I have clarified before, you can see that some virtues of the dua for Friday Mubarak are as follows:

  • There is a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad that specifically teaches dua for Friday Mubarak.
  • Allah will answer dua on Friday, as explained in one of the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad I have quoted previously.

That's a quick overview of the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad regarding Friday Mubarak dua. As Muslims, we must understand this.

The Most Trusted Hadith of Prophet Muhammad Regarding Friday Khutbah

The third important point about the most trusted hadith of Prophet Muhammad regarding missing friday prayer that I will clarify now is the Hadith regarding Friday Khutbah. I want you to grasp this now because Friday Khutbah is one of the important aspects of Friday prayer.

The Prophet Muhammad's hadith regarding Friday Khutbah is as follows:

From Jabir bin Samrah radliyallahu anhuma, the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) delivered the khutbah while standing. Then he sat down and delivered another khutbah while standing again. Whoever tells you that he delivered the khutbah while sitting is truly lying. This hadith is narrated by Muslim.

From understanding the Prophet Muhammad's hadith above, we can conclude several points:

  • The hadith explains that there must be two khutbahs on Friday.
  • Islamic legal experts differ on the legal status of the Friday khutbah. Most scholars agree that both khutbahs are legal requirements for the Friday prayer, as the Prophet Muhammad performed them at every Friday prayer. Abu Hanifah stated that what is obligatory is the first khutbah, while the second is merely recommended.
  • The hadith addresses the legal status of standing during the Friday khutbah. Most Islamic legal scholars believe that standing is mandatory. Conversely, according to Abu Hanifah, some of his followers, and one narration from Ahmad, standing during the Friday khutbah is a recommendation.
  • The hadith clarifies the legal status of sitting between the two khutbahs. The majority of Islamic legal scholars view this as a suggestion, while Ash-Shafi'i regards it as obligatory.

From Ibn Abbas radliyallahu anhuma, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, 'Whoever speaks on Friday while the Imam delivers the khutbah is like a donkey carrying heavy books. Whoever tells him, "Be quiet!" will not have a valid Friday prayer.'" This hadith is narrated by Ahmad.

From understanding the hadith above, we can conclude the following points:

  • The hadith indicates that a Muslim is prohibited from speaking while the Imam delivers the khutbah.
  • Speaking while the Imam is sitting between the two khutbahs or after the last khutbah is acceptable.
  • Regarding khutbahs other than the Friday prayer khutbah, silence is recommended.

This is a brief explanation of the Prophet Muhammad's hadith regarding the Friday khutbah. As Muslims, we must understand its importance.

From al-Hakam bin Mina', Abdullah bin Umar and Abu Hurairah reported that they heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) say from his pulpit: "Let those who choose to abandon Friday prayer stop what they are doing, or else Allah will close their hearts, and they will become heedless people."

Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, said, "Whoever bathes on Friday like a junub bath, then goes to the mosque at the first time, it is as if he is sacrificing a camel. And whoever comes the second time, it is as if he had sacrificed a cow. And whoever comes at the third time, it is as if he had sacrificed a lamb with horns. And whoever comes at the fourth time, it will be as if he had sacrificed a chicken. And whoever comes at the fifth time, it is as if he sacrificed an egg.
