How Do I Convert to Islam? ~ Hi readers! As we know, Islam is one of the major religions in the world. Many people convert to Islam daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. In brief, there are six pillars of faith in Islam: belief in Allah, belief in the angels of Allah, belief in the Messengers of Allah, belief in the holy books given to the Messengers of Allah, belief in the Day of Judgment, and belief in Qadla and Qadar. Meanwhile, Islam has five pillars: Shahada (the declaration of faith), prayer, zakat (charitable giving), fasting, and performing Hajj for those who are able to do so.
How Do I Convert to Islam?
Now that we understand the six pillars of faith and the five pillars of Islam, the first thing that people who want to convert to Islam must do is recite the Shahada. The Shahada is a testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is the last Messenger of Allah. The Shahada statement they must say is as follows:
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللهِ
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
If someone recites the Shahada, it means they believe in Allah and in the Prophet Muhammad. After this, they are required to have faith in the other matters described in the pillars of Islam.
Furthermore, by reciting the Shahada, they fulfill one of the pillars of Islam. After this, they must complete the other four pillars of Islam. You can find explanations of all of these pillars here.

The most important part, the Shahada, was explained clearly. I now understand that reciting the Shahada is the key to becoming a Muslim. It's a powerful declaration of belief in the oneness of Allah and the finality of Prophet Muhammad's message. This was the first step I took on my journey, and reading about it in this article made me feel more confident in my decision.
The additional explanation about the other pillars of Islam, like prayer, zakat, fasting, and Hajj, was very informative. The article has given me a better understanding of what I need to learn and practice as I continue to grow in my faith. It's comforting to know that this process is not just about saying the Shahada, but also about living according to the teachings of Islam.
I'm very thankful to the author for writing this article. It answered my questions and gave me a clearer vision of my journey as a Muslim. I'm excited to continue learning and growing in Islam. May Allah guide us all!
