Dua for Forgiveness of Zina in English and Arabic

Firstly, I'd like to clarify that there are many effective dua for seeking forgiveness from Zina. Of course, I won't cover all of them here. For now, I will focus on the two best-known dua.
By the way, do you know what the two best dua for forgiveness of Zina are? They are Salawat and Istighfar.
The First Best Dua for Forgiveness of Zina: Salawat
For those unfamiliar with Salawat, it is a prayer for the Prophet Muhammad. Generally, the words of Salawat are prayers asking Allah to bestow mercy and peace upon Prophet Muhammad and his family.
You may be wondering, "Why is Salawat one of the dua for forgiveness of Zina?"
To understand why Salawat is considered one of the dua for forgiveness of Zina, you must first recognize the virtues of Salawat. Islamic teachings explain that one of the virtues of Salawat is that it removes sins.
This virtue is clarified in the following hadith:
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever recites Salawat for me a thousand times on Friday will not die until he sees his place in Heaven."
The simplest Salawat is:
O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family.
Thus, anyone who has committed Zina is highly encouraged to recite Salawat frequently, especially on Fridays. On that day, it is recommended to recite Salawat a thousand times.
The Second Best Dua for Forgiveness of Zina: Istighfar
The second most important dua for forgiveness of Zina is Istighfar. Istighfar is an expression of regret for one's sins, accompanied by a plea for Allah's forgiveness.
Anyone who has committed Zina is highly encouraged to recite Istighfar as often as possible. The connection between Istighfar and forgiveness for Zina is highlighted in the following Quranic verse and hadith:
And Allah will not punish them while you are among them. And Allah will not torment them as long as they seek forgiveness. (Al-Anfal, 33)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, as narrated by Al-Baihaqi, Al-Ashbahani, and Ibn Abi ad-Dunya from Anas:
"There is no servant or person who seeks forgiveness from Allah seventy times a day without being recorded as truthful, and if they seek forgiveness seventy times a night, they will not be recorded as negligent."
The simplest Istighfar is:
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty.
