The Significance of An-Nahr Day (Yaumu an-Nahri) in Islamic Tradition
Hi, dear readers! Do you know what "An-Nahr Day (Yaumu an-Nahri)" is? Do you remember Eid al-Adhah? An-Nahr Day (Yaumu an-Nahri) and Eid al-Adhah are the same; they are two terms used to refer to one of the significant feasts for Muslims. This day falls in the month of Dhul Hijjah. There are some important things that we should know about it, so make sure to read this article to the end!
You should know that the meaning of the word "an-Nahr" is "slaughter." The intention is that on this day, Muslims are encouraged to slaughter livestock (such as camels, cows, buffaloes, or sheep). The meat from the slaughtered livestock is then given to those in need. Therefore, An-Nahr Day (Yaumu an-Nahri) is one of the significant days for Muslims, with many choosing to sacrifice animals as I explained earlier.

The term "al-Adhah" refers to the livestock that is slaughtered on that day. Thus, "An-Nahr Day (Yaumu an-Nahri)" and "Eid al-Adhah" refer to the same occasion. Muslims are encouraged to pray on that day, and the prayer is called "Eid al-Adhah Prayer."
Hadith About An-Nahr Day (Yaumu An-Nahri)
There are several hadiths about an-Nahr day (Yaumu an-Nahri) that I would like to quote to explain this article. Some of the hadiths I mean are as follows:

The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, said, "The best day is an-Nahr day (Yaumu an-Nahri)." This hadith was narrated by Ibn Hibban.
